- Q. What all documents are required for verification?
A. To rent a godavarimicro self-drive car, you should have a valid Aadhaar card, a driving license and an original Passport/Voters ID card.
Please note: Aadhaar card details like name, mobile number etc. should match the details that are provided to Godavarimicro at time of making a booking. In case of a mismatch, Godavarimicro will cancel the booking and a penalty of Rs 1000 will be levied to the guest in such case.
Also, it is required to make sure that all the details mentioned in the Driving License and Aadhaar card are readable and clear.
- Q. What type of driving license is required?
A. To rent a godavarimicro car, you need to have a valid and a clean Indian or International (Foreign Nationals) driving license that covers the vehicle rented by you. This license needs to be held by you for at least one year.
- Q. Do I need to sign any agreement/document with Godavarimicro?
A. Yes. You are required to sign an e-agreement, a car check list and a brief Terms & Conditions sheet at the time of confirming your booking.
- Q. What type of documents is required in case of a co-driver?
A. You need to upload co-driver’s Driving License before the start of the rental. The renter (who has booked the car) will be responsible in case of an accident or damages by the co-driver wherein the rental terms do not comply with.

- Q. What kind of number plate do Godavarimicro cars have?
A. All Godavarimicro cars have commercial number plates.
- Q. Will I face any problem in driving a car with a commercial number plate?
A. No. We will provide you all the required legal documents needed to drive the car with a commercial number plate.
- Q. What if the car gets damaged by a third party?
A. The renter (who has booked the car) is completely liable for any damage done by a third party.
- Q. What kind of mechanical repairs are not covered?
A. Damage to clutch plates and tires due to negligence on part of the renter is not covered and will be charged. Final assessment will be made by Godavarimicro.
- Q. What happens in the case of an accident?
A. Firstly, reach out to our customer care team at +91 124 4724888 instantly and secondly, inform the local police authorities. A copy of intimation letter acknowledged by the local police authorities/FIR needs to be submitted to Godavarimicro.
Damage cost up to INR 5,000 to be borne by the customer. In the case of a damage exceeding Rs.5000, insurance claim will be filed by Godavarimicro and the depreciation amount and the parts which are not covered under insurance to be borne by the customer.
*The assessment of damage made by the Godavarimicro will be final.
- Q. Is there a speed limit to which I need to adhere to ?
A. As per the Central Government directive, all self-drive vehicles are fitted with a speed governor (speed limiting device) which limits the cars not to go beyond a certain prescribed limit and the same varies from state to state.
- Q. What do I need to do if the car breaks down?

- Q. What do I do in case the car gets stolen?
A. Launch a police complaint immediately and a copy of intimation letter acknowledged by the police authorities/ FIR needs to be submitted to Godavarimicro. Reach out to our customer care at +91 1234567890 and notify us.
- Q. How can I pay for my rental?
A. You can pay for your rental using credit card/debit card/net banking/mobile wallets.
- Q. What if I don’t have a Indian credit/debit card to make a payment?
A. If your card is issued outside of India, we accept payment via Paypal. You will find Paypal as a payment option on Payment Page.
- Q. What all is included in the fare?
A. The rental fare is inclusive of rent for the hired period, pick and delivery charges and all the applicable government taxes.
- Q. Is there any security deposit?
A. Yes. There is a refundable security deposit of Rs. 5000.
- Q. What is the policy for the security deposit?
A. The security deposit is charged at the time of booking. As per Godavarimicro India cancellation and refund policy, the refund is initiated post closure of rental and is processed within 3 working days.
- Q. Are there any taxes on the rental amount?
A. Yes. All the applicable Government taxes (except interstate permit) are charged.
- Q. Who pays for the tolls?
A. The customer is liable to pay for the toll charges.
- Q. How much time do you take to refund the security deposit?
A. We refund the security deposit within 15 working days.
- Q. Can I pay in cash for my booking?
A. No. We only accept payment via credit card/debit card/net banking/mobile wallet.
- Q. Do I have to pay commercial state road tax?
A. Yes. You have to pay commercial state road tax because self-drive cars are registered under a commercial license.
- Q. Do I have to pay road/inter-state tax while travelling out of the state?
A. Yes. You have to pay the inter-state taxes for the states you are entering. It is advisable to stop at the RTO check post to pay the government applicable road tax. Non-payment of these taxes would attract penalties by respective state transport departments as you may be asked to produce the tax slip at various times. As mentioned in the user agreement; all such penalties will be borne by the customer only.
*Please only pay for the least tax period that is applicable for your journey days as this could be as low as a one day charge and as high as full year tax.
